Brenda joined PIDG as Regional HSES Manager in October 2020 and based in our Nairobi office. She works with the PIDG HSES Director and his team and the PIDG Companies to monitor and support HSES performance in the Company’s portfolio projects. She has over 10 years’ experience in offering advisory services and implementing HSES systems for Non-Governmental Organisations, multinationals and the private sector in Kenya and Somaliland. Prior to joining PIDG, Brenda worked in the energy sector where her responsibilities included risk assessments and mitigation, contractor HSES management, stakeholder consultation, environmental resources management, HSES MS implementation, accident/incident investigations, HSES surveillance, ISO 14000, ISO 9001 and OHSAS 18001 systems set up and implementation. She brings to PIDG a wealth of experience and skills in HSES risk management, construction safety and social performance. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science from Maseno University, a Master’s degree in Energy and Environmental Management from Abertay University Scotland and an International Technical Certificate in Oil and Gas Operational Safety from NEBOSH.
